June's $2 card night

EN FRANCAIS

My DH really loved this card and so do I. En francais and carte postale stamp sets go so well together. This card was probably the easiest out of all of the cards we made the other night.

Stamp sets: En francais and carte postale. Cardstock: night of navy, metallic silver and whisper white. Ink: Night of navy and encore silver. Accessories: crimper, tag punches, silver organdy ribbon and cord.
SUMMER BY THE SEA
I really love this card. I have been very inspired by Alisa Tilsners blog and the water colouring that she does. I have started using the aqua painters and markers on water colour paper and it just looks fabulous. All the ladies at $2 cards loved this card and were very excited to learn to do this. Needless to say, they all want to buy the stampin markers now. I can live with that!

Stamp set: Summer by the sea. Cardstock: Bravo burgundy, always artichoke and water colour paper. Ink: Stazon. Markers: old olive, always artichoke, close to cocoa, choc chip, night of navy, apricot appeal, blush blossom. Accessories: twill tape, cropadile, jumbo eyelets and crimper.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Everyone loved the colour combination on this card. I used my spring flowers punch for the first time and I really love it. I can't wait to get the boho punch from the new spring mini catalogue because it looks just as cool as this one.
Stamp set: In the spotlight and sincere salutations. Cardstock: pale plum, perfect plum, pretty in pink and c.celery dsp. Brads and spring flower punch.

WONDERFUL FAVOURITES
This is the first card I have made with designer paper and I will be using it a lot more in my cards. Up until know I have bought a lot of it and just enjoyed looking at it! I always thought it was too pretty to cut up. I am over that now!

Stampsets: Wonderful favourites, Carte postale. Spring silouettes dsp. Cardstock: Brilliant blue and whisper white. Ink: Brilliant blue and bashful blue. Corner rounder punch and paper piercer.

A Little Bit of Happiness

This card was made for a recent workshop and the hostess loves hearts. This was the only set I had with hearts so this is what I came up with. I have to say that I was very happy with how this card turned out and so was my hostess. She like it so much she is going to use this stamp set to make her wedding invitations!

You can't see it very well from the picture but the blush blossom background is stamped with the heart stamp from the sprinkles set in versamark.

Stampset: A little bit of happiness and sprinkles. Cardstock: blush blossom, pure pomegranate and whisper white. Ink: basic black and purely pomegranate and versa mark. Purely pomegranate double stitched ribbon and corner rounder punch for the scolloped edge. (Thanks for teaching me how to do that Michelle)

Natural Beauty For Men

This card really seems to appeal to some husbands out there. Many of the ladies who made this at our last $2 card evening showed it to there husbands who made comments such as ' oh out of all the cards you've made I really like this one' My DH had the same reaction. I did make this with him in mind.

Stamp sets: natural beauty,so many sayings and rough texture wheel. Cardstock: Sahara sand, alway artichoke, kraft and close to cocoa. Hemp twine.

Stamping with Michelle

This is a double pocket card that I made while staying at Michelle's a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time with 2 full days of stamping and I learned so much! Thanks Michelle for having me. Hope we can do it again some time. Michelle is so creative and very talented. I'm so glad she is my upline!.
This card was made with fall flowers dsp, soft sky, wild wasabi and really rust cardstock. Stamp sets are boho background, lovely letters alphadet and life definitions.

Everyone up here in Waiuku loves this card and I will be making this in future workshops for sure.

This is the card I made for the shoe box swap that we had with Sharlene and her downline while I was in New Plymouth. Unfortunately I couldn't get this card to scan very well because of the brad so it looks a little uneven. I love the colour combination in this card.

Stamp sets: Boho background ( my favourite) Baroque motifs (also my favourite)

Card: Choc chip and bashful blue. Non S.U. ribbon and designer label, scollop and 1 1/4 circle punch.

Again another uneven card because of the brad/scanner situation. Copied from one of Michelle's cards, I love this whole look. Another card that everyone really loved when I got home.
Stampset: Paisley and polkadots. Cardstock: Close to cocoa, bashful blue and whisper white.
Jumbo eyelets, round tab and petal punches.
These are just a few of the cards I made while staying with Michelle. I think I made at least 12 cards while I was there and was a little stamped out by the time I came home. Thanks again for having me Michelle. YOU ROCK! (p.s. sorry it has taken me sooo long to blog since I got home. What can I say......I'm hopeless!

Very embarassing!

Hi, now that Trudi has changed the nzsu website to show when everyone blogged last it clearly shows how slack I have been. My apologies. I have heaps of lovely cards to show, I just need to find the time to load them, which I will do in the next few days. Thanks Trudi for the kick in the backside.
Have a great evening everyone.
